LOCK-UP FUNDRAISER

ED Latreese Cooke being arrested by Bastrop Police Officer Tamara Brown to support the Lock-up Fundraiser that was held at Baxter's Restaurant to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy. This was MEEELJ's first year participating in this drive. What fun and a free lunch!!

Open House
What a great success! The Open House was a wonderful event. The food was plentiful and the gifts brought by others to our event were appreciated.

In attendance were persons from the following entities: Bastrop ISD, Bastrop Advertiser, ACS, Texas Workforce, Family Crisis Center, Boys and Girls Club, Dr. Boehk, Beulah Baylor, Olivia Brown, Bastrop County Judge’s Office staff, Audrey Benitz, Texas State University interns. Staff and one of our program participants toured our guests through our office facilities and then ushered them into the “breakfast reception area”.

We thank those who sponsored the event via your donations:
Speedy Tacos, and Deli Depot of Bastrop.

Drivers Needed
We need volunteers to drive for local errands for our program participants. The areas of need are for medical appointments, obtaining paperwork from various entities, visits with their officers, etc. If you are interested and have reliable, insured, transportation, we would like to speak with you. Call the office and speak with Nicole Forrester to arrange an interview.
