Volunteer Opportunities

Most of our opportunities are limited to Volunteer Services and Internships at this time . We are looking for funding to enable us to employ as we are a rapidly growing organization in need of, and desire for, a great number of people to help us help others who need us.

We could use an additional Licensed Professional LCDC to volunteer about 30 flex hours per week, particularly daytime hours. We await grant funding to convert this to a paid position as soon as possible. In the meantime consider this an investment in your future and in others. If you, or someone you know can help, please contact Latreese by email at admin@meeelj.org. Thank you for all you do.

If you are a Grantwriter willing to write for a percentage of the grant, if obtained, please call Latreese Cooke
at (512) 581-0211 to discuss the matter.

Sponsors for our various fundraisers are very much appreciated as are tax deductible Charitable Donations as we reach out to help as many as possible, especially those with limited funds - oftentimes a reason they find themselves in the situations which bring them to us.

We would appreciate Mentors for our youth. Spend some time with some young adults and teach them what you know so that they too may be in the world instead of in jail, or worse.

Join us. Outstretched hand image.Volunteer duties may include:

  • preparing and distributing food and drinks or cashiering;
  • recordkeepers, office filing, accounting;
  • preparing documentation, distributing materials;
  • set up and take down of decorations for our events; and
  • participants to play in our basketball game, musicians for our dances;
  • other needs according to the particular function taking place at any given time.

Your support shows the youth we represent that you care enough about them to give of yourself, your precious time, to help them. This is a major first step in getting them to care about our society enough to stop delinquent and criminal behaviour and work to support it instead.

Please indicate your interest in the contact form by entering and submitting the information requested. Your personal information will remain confidential! It will only be made available to the staff coordinating our volunteers on a need to know basis. If you have any questions, please call us at 512-581-0211.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
