Successes!

TRACK MEET
MEEELJ sponsored a youth athlete who participated in a national track meet held in Louisiana in August. We’d like to congratulate this young man on the competition and heard he placed 6th! Way to go!

REINSTATED
JH recently entered into residential treatment and was reinstated! We are proud of the participant's success thus far and wish their family continued success.

NEW GRADUATES
Congratulations to GMcK, NJ and TR for completing classes taken for the last 10 weeks!

FIRST SEMESTER COMPLETED
ET has completed his first semester in college. Way to go!

COMPLETED PAROLE
Congratulations also to another KF for completion of counseling and completion of his parole!!! YES!!! We wish you continued success and look forward to KF working with MEEELJ in other capacities to help others.

COMPLETED COUNSELING PROGRAM
Congratulations to KF for completion of his counseling program! He is employed full time and has been consistent in meeting his requirements for supervision.

COLLEGE
ET is another participant attending group sessions through MEEELJ and sought our assistance in aiding him in going to college. We would like to report that he is a full time student at a local college and doing well with his first semester behind him!

DIPLOMA
NJ, has received his diploma. After spending 8 years in TDCJ, this participant has completed through correspondence his requirement to receive his HS Diploma. We want to say congratulations and to keep striving for higher education.

MANAGER
CH has made manager at the employee that he was employed by through MEEELJ! In less than a year’s time, CH has proven to be a reliable, focused and able employee and has been recognized as such by receiving this promotion. CH also was the honoree at the Winter Extravaganza held on Friday, February 25th at Colovista. Keep up the good work!

NEW JOB!
MA has been hired by one of our partnered companies! MA is a truck driver experienced with long haul, local and line haul. MA has volunteered with our concert event and is one of our key volunteer security team members for music venues we host. We are excited and wish MA the best with his new position. KEEP ON TRUCKIN’!!

POET OF THE YEAR
NJ has been nominated and selected as Poet of the Year for 2005 by the International Society of Poets. NJ has been a part of the program for over 4 months and his work is also featured in our invitations to the Extravaganza that is being held on February 25th. We are proud and honored that NJ is a part of MEEELJ. Keep on writing!!

WAY TO GO!
Congratulations! We have to give a way to go to EV for passing to PHASE 2 in their process with one of our partnered companies! Looks like “permanent money” and “stability” is on the rise for these participants! Good luck!

Congratulations to CH, a participant on parole who recently was hired for a full time position! Just to prove that it can be done we want to share the good news that a “challenged” background doesn’t mean it's a detriment. If you believe, you WILL achieve! Congratulations!!
